On February 10, 2026 BACE attended the Capital Complex Wellness Festival. The Festival took place in the illustrious Barbara Jordan Building that houses the child care center for capital area employees. BACE set up a table to promote health concerns and risk that are prominent in African Americans – i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, high risk pregnancies. In addition to this short list, and specifically for women, is the risk of breast cancer. BACE, via their 2026 President, Bobbie Thomas, maintains a close relationship with Big Pink Bus, a mobile mammogram one-stop-shop, and helped 16 women book mammograms.
Captured below are the smiling faces of partners with the Capital Complex Wellness Event at the BACE table with 2026 Vice President Byron Evans II and Secretary Kenya Gooden.
