BACE adopted a family in need for Christmas and delivered the items on Thursday, December 18, 2014.  The family responded with this very kind note of appreciation.

In November, 2014 BACE and MACEA collected new and/or gently worn coats and monetary donations for the Austin Junior League.  Donations were collected in Coats for Kids boxes at all CPA locations and all donations were delivered to KVUE-Austin.

On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Robert E. Johnson Building (REJ) conference center, the Comptroller’s office hosted a College Fair.  BACE and MACEA assisted by sponsoring the event. 

BACE provided a booth to publicize our organization and contributed door prizes and bags for the fair participants.

The Black American Comptroller Employee's (BACE) held its annual Juneteenth Luncheon and Scholarship Awards on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

The BACE Educational Scholarship Award recognizes merit in academics, leadership, and the potential for success in special talent areas such as athletics and the arts, regardless of race or ethnicity. The 2014 recipients are Griffin Baker, Racheal Smith, Chiderah Onuoha, Cecil Chazhikat- (not pictured) and Brianna Taylor.

We would like to thank all of the participants and congratulate the recipients.
